Isaac is almost 7 weeks old...he is getting longer/taller but he is still super skinny! It has been an interesting ride as he has been a bit fussy. We have tried a variety of "cures" and feel like we have made progress, but he is definitely different than Irene!
Irene LOVES being a big sister. One of her favorite phrases is, "Moke a bro-bo" (milk for brother), which she says when Shannon nurses and/or pumps...she also loves, "bath a bro-bo" in which she gets to dump water all over brother.
New things with Isaac:
-he has started to smile consistently at us
-he will sleep a little bit longer (occasionally going 4 hours)
-he loves bath time...just like his sister did/does!
-he seems to be more coordinated than Irene was at this age; but less attuned to what is going on around him (just like men and women?!)
New things with Irene:
-she adds words to her vocabulary daily
-she has a number of different phrases and sentences that make us laugh/smile every time
-she LOVES her brother very much
-she is 36 inches (3 feet!) and 32 lbs
-she had her first "naughty moment"
Enjoy the new album!

Thanks for posting! Your kids are cute...especially in pic 24 out of 31 :)
I read this book The Female Brain that talks about the differences (from conception!) in ours brain, and the effect of testosterone on the fetal male brain. Fascinating stuff. It makes absolute sense that he would be more coordinated but less socially aware at this point. Sorry, end of my nerdy science rant.
I'm still looking forward to meeting Isaac and getting to spend some quality time with my niece. Miss you guys!
Naughty sister!! :) how appropriate that it involves coloring. Coulda guessed that...
The other night Irene called me and sang "CAAAAAAUSE, Nana Aaka...mrrm hmm hmm." It was nice. :) Then I said "HI Lulu!!" And she said "yeah! YEAH!" Then someone hung up the phone.
Super cute kids you two have! Xavi is ready to play with Irene, since it seems like he is quickly catching up to her.
Xavi had a "naughty moment" too. He colored blue on a wooden tray on our coffee table. Crazy, these 2 are destined to have lots of fun and get Isaac into much trouble!
Ha! Ha! Oh how at times I miss babies, then I read your blog and am reminded of the time, sleep & peace I have regained since they grew! Your children are gorgeous and one day you will look at that coloured-in chair (when they use it to play on the Wii) and you will feel huge warmth for the innocent naughtiness that once was! Hi-5 for kids who know how to explore & have fun! Creativity (in all it's forms) R O C K S ! ... I"m off to yell at my 7 year old for drawing on her BROTHERS bed ...
