Ok, someone has to say this ... why does your daughter look thoroughly confused & miffed by the cute YELLOW chick, but not baffled at all about the BLUE one!!!? Kids picture books have a lot to answer for!! (all very cute though!!)
The yellow one is a duckling and she obviously prefers blue chickens to yellow ducklings. She does not appear to like being set down in the middle of a barnyard at all! Can't say that I blame her.
You guys set her down in the middle of a BARNYARD??!! Aren't you afraid she'll get trampled by sheep and pigs and stuff??! tut tut, guys. Not very responsible parenting.
