Wow. Since the last time we posted a little over a week ago, Irene has learned some BIG THINGS!
1. She is still a wibble-wobble but she is starting to SIT UP consistently by herself. She can't maneuver too well but she isn't too bad so long as she doesn't get distracted...She seems to really love sitting, especially because her dropped toys are easily accessible to her (instead of disappearing forever when she drops them while lying on her back).
2. She is quickly becoming a fan of the johnny-jump-up! It is SO funny to watch her bounce and spin. She sort of favors leaning on her left leg (is she a leftie?!) and hops and hops and hops.
3. She is trying to "razz" all the time...this is when you put your lips together and blow out (making them vibrate quickly against one another)...it is SO cute to watch her try...she drools/spits everywhere trying to mimic us...the video we have of this isn't great, but it gives you some idea.

Both boys loved the johnny jump up. I think it's a great conditioning skill for future soccer legs!!!! She already looks older since we saw her. Hope all is well. Give Irene a kiss from her cousins in Chicago.

Thanks for posting the videos! Can't believe how much she's grown since Thanksgiving. Her legs look so long in that Johnny jump up. She is sitting up very well.

I'm a big fan of the video evidence. It's crazy how much those noises coming out of her mouth almost sound like words. We should skype soon so I can 'talk' to my baby niece. Thanks for posting.
