-She is reaching, grabbing, and holding things with a purpose. She is using both of her hands in coordination, not always efficiently or effectively but in unison none-the-less.
-Everything goes to the mouth...if she can get it there.
-She is a big big girl. We are going to the doctor Thursday and will get the official stats but we think she is around 18 lbs and 27+ inches long (we'll amend in the 'comments' after the appointment). Some of her 6-12 month clothes are tight/short. crazy.
-at night, before her bath we have a combination of "diaper time" and "naked time"...she LOVES this time and will play for an extra 30 minutes instead of getting fussy...
-she shrieks/squeals a lot...when we say a lot, we mean all day long. we joke that she is going to be a "talker"...so much talk talk talking...hopefully we always think it is as cute as we do now.
-she likes to be on her stomach more and more...she will/can roll over but she doesn't really like to...she likes to roll onto her sides. back and forth. back and forth. She also really likes to stand up. She has really strong legs and will stand on her own for awhile. We have started teaching her to kick a soccer ball. She is "locked in" and really concentrates when we pass the ball back and forth. One time she almost laughed while playing this game.
-she sleeps through the night and has been for awhile.
-she loves to go on walks.
-Shannon and I disagree over the color of her eyes. This is what we agree on: they are not blue but they are not brown. we don't know what they are.
-Her first Halloween was a success. Thank you to Shannon's friend Erica for the costume!

Use the magnifier on Picasa - her eyes are greenish gray with brown, gold and blue - very interesting colors - makes me wonder if they'll stay that color or change. I love her smiles - we miss her!

I miss my graddaughter....she is soooo cute and adorable...just want to kiss those "rechonchudinha" cheeks...
We always knew that the possibility existed, deep within the recesses of both sets of DNA, that your kid would be HUGE. At least she has the big feet to support herself. Plus I'm pretty sure they've done studies and tall people definitely have an advantage in life. So tall + inevitable good looks = supermodel. Or get her in acting classes early + impressive vocal range = starring role in the remake of High School Musical in 20 years. Yeah, I like that second option...

don't know if she will be a model or a singer or an athlete or a poet or an artist...fun to think about though. she keeps reaching another octave (is that the right word?); I think she is maxed out and then she gets higher, so there might be something to singer?!
She's getting so big! LOVE the earrings! and her eyelashes are GORGEOUS!!!
