This is Irene's recent "sound of choice"...it is pretty cute but has the potential to get very annoying very quickly.

You know what I hear in that squeal? I hear the melodic vocal range of a potential soprano. It's a good thing she doesn't have any older siblings who will misinterpret it as 'whining' :)
She doesn't have any siblings, but she does have uncles. I can already picture the "I'm Sparky Irene Whiner" jokes.
She is super cute and getting into "fun age" range. We liked the skyping and she is going to like uncle joff's hair and eyes....you could totally tell.
We are looking forward to thanksgiving. But before that, do you have some costume ideas for halloween?
yes Rachel...one might misconstrue vocal range for whining...although that is funny you bring this up as we skyped with xavi/amie last night and we laughed about "rachel-leigh-whiner"(sorry about making fun of you. I feel badly about that)...we were talking about that BECAUSE Shannon and I think Irene is a bit of a whiner. it is funny/cute. sometimes she doesn't cry about stuff but rather just whines and fusses to get our attention and/or tell us that she wants a change of scenery...
xavi = costume ideas for you? or for Irene? Irene is going to be a giraffe...although the girls on my team want Shannon to dress her up in a different costume every day that week. I think you should be minke whale.
